MOZART The Magic Flute overture | Nicolas BALDEYROU and friends on period instruments

Dear friends, first of all I would you like to wish you a happy new year! 2020 taught us so many lessons we’ll remember for life, let’s try to bring joy all around, let’s be positive, optimistic, and enjoy the present ✨ In a recent survey on Instagram and Facebook, you asked me to record Mozart Magic Flute overture so here it is, and on period instruments ! 🥳 The magic flute (in German Die Zauberflöte) is an opera in two acts to a German libretto by Emanuel Shikaneder. The work is in the form of a Singspiel, a popular form during the time it was written that included both singing and spoken dialogue. The work premiered on 30 September 1791 at Schikaneder’s theatre, the Freihaus- Theater auf der Wieden in Vienna, just two months before the composer’s premature death. I would like to deeply thank my super talented friends who joined for this video : @kossenkoalexis (classical flute) @gabrielpidoux (classical oboe) @ (David Douçot d’Ortega-class
