After 11 years of construction, Tao Zhu Yin Yuan has transformed from a bold prototype to a sustainable architectural landmark, practicing various technical construction methods from the DNA double helix that constitutes the code of life to the high-level earthquake-proof specifications that can resist the 2,500-year earthquake return cycle. With the addition of excess rainwater recovery, 6 wind power generation and solar panels and other renewable energy equipment, and more than 23 000 trees and shrubs that can absorb carbon, it is a vertical forest art building. The International Golden Trezzini Awards are the world’s only competition for architecture and design where the winning projects are taken into a state museum’s collection.
