Tamiya 1/35 Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. G “Fruhe Version“ - Kit Review

A review of Tamiya’s, 1/35 scale, Sturmgeschutz (Stug.) III, Ausf G, “Fruhe“ (Early), model kit, No. 35197, the initial released from 1995. Re-released several times since, in various forms; in 2005, as an Ausf. B version, Kit No. 35281, and again, as a Ausf. G, “Finnish“ Stug. III. in 2010, Kit No. 35310, and again as an Ausf. B, in 2011, under Kit No. 25143, with metal Barrel, and Photo Etch. Also released as a “Professionally Finished Model“ under Tamiya’s Masterwork Collection, during the early 2000’s, under Kit No. 21004. The reviewed 1995 kit, can be built either as the, standard 75mm armed Stug. III, or as the armed STuH 42, assault howitzer. The kit comes with 2 crew figures, plus small dog, vinyl tracks, optional; open/closed hatches, MG shield up or down, Schurzen side armour, and has a Markings & Painting Guide for 3 vehicles.
