The WCW Career of Disco Inferno

If you would like to support the channel and my work, please consider becoming a channel member: World Championship Wrestling became a massive success in the wrestling landscape from 1996 onwards. WCW was able to defeat Monday Night Raw in the Monday Night ratings battle mainly due to the nWo storyline and the company’s take on fresh, reality based programming. Not all superstars in WCW though were strictly reality based, a few kept some over the top gimmicks to varying success. One of these men who remained a “character“ in wrestling was Glen Gilbertti, better known as Disco Inferno. Disco Inferno made his WCW debut in 1995 and became a regular on WCW shows such as Saturday Night, WorldWide and Main Event. Disco was employed by the company during the advent of WCW Nitro, and he was featured on the very earliest Nitro shows that were broadcasted to TV screens. Disco Inferno would be kept on the WCW midcard and moved into the WCW Cruiserweight division, and throughout the years, fans began to enjoy the character. This mini-documentary from Wrestling Bios takes a look at the Disco Inferno character in WCW.
