I chose DECTalkPaul instead of Defoko because there’s already too many covers with her, also because I just realized there aren’t anymore new Moonbase Alpha covers and I just thought “Why not?“. It’s also because the retro aesthetic fits DECTalk’s sound. Makes mixing the thing really hard because I kept trying to make it sound as clear as possible like I’m accustomed to. I’m running out of stuff to say, so uh, fun fact about this voicebank! It was made from the same text to speech program that Stephen Hawking used known as DECTalk. It’s pretty old too, like from the 1980s, so I thought it’d fit pretty well! I also found an interesting story to the origin of DECTalk, more specifically, the Perfect Paul voice, which most of you know as the Moonbase Alpha voice!
