Item title reads - News in a Nutshell. Intertitle - ’West Croydon’ (London) - M/S as bridegroom Fred Cliffe walks from the car to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic church. L/S of crowds watching. M/S of bride Norah Buttram and her two bridesmaids walking up the path to the church. They are followed by someone dressed as a black cat. M/S as the couple, who are both 4 feet tall and circus performers, emerge from the church and walk through the crowds grinning. The crowds watch as they get in the car. M/S of the black cat riding on the back. Intertitle - ’Southampton’ (Hampshire) - M/S of the ’Queen’, a steamer from the Red Funnel Line. M/S as a man signs over the name ’Mauretania’ after that ship is scrapped, the two men shake hands. M/S as the flag with ’Queen’ on is run down and a new one reading ’Mauretania’ is run up. Various shots as they paint the name on the side. M/S of the renamed steamer. No intertitle - L/S of King Farouk and his attendants walk towards a train at Victoria Station to leave
