Evanescence’s co-founder and lead singer Amy Lee has checked in with Matt Pinfield for this week’s entry of the New & Approved music show. With the band’s latest spring released album ’The Bitter Truth’ marking a new chapter for the Lee and the group, the Little Rock native speaks on the life moments that inspired the project. As the novel coronavirus pandemic greatly impacted Lee and members of Evanescene, the tragic lost Lee dealt with when her brother passed in 2018, was the beginning of expressing their loss through the album.
