Ukraine War: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Bakhmut is ’destroyed’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this morning that “nothing is left“ of the city of Bakhmut as Russian troops have left the city in ruins following a bloody eight-month battle. Mr Zelenskyy said he thought Ukraine had lost the city, but added, “You have to understand that there is nothing,“ saying of the Russians, “They destroyed everything.“ Mr Zelenskyy was speaking alongside President Joe Biden at the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan.
