At only 8.6 ounces (245 grams), the world’s smallest surviving baby ever born was delivered at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns in San Diego, California. Baby Saybie was delivered at 23 weeks and 3 days gestation after her mother experienced severe pregnancy complications.
