The Beatles - Revolution - 2024 stereo remix

A new 2024 stereo mix, based on the excellent 2006 LOVE version. The 2023 blue album remix of this song is yet another disappointment. Unfortunately, the LOVE CD version has over a third of the song edited out. The intro has been altered and the ending of the song overlaps the next track. This review that I found online sums things up nicely: “In a 1974 interview, John claimed “The fast version of ’Revolution’ was destroyed. It was a heavy record (referring to the mono mix), and they turned it into a piece of ice cream“ after hearing the 1973 mix included on the blue album. I don’t know what happened, it’s almost like Giles was running out of time, took the original 1973 mix and brought the left & right channels a bit to the center. Both guitars are panned to the right (except for the solo) while bass & drums are panned to the left.
