Evolutionary Theory is a 5 minute level that is a complete experience and adventure, with such a long runtime, you get to see an amazing variety of places, enjoy great art and even learn a bit along the way about how earth has evolved. The biggest benefit of a level with a theme like this is that you get a lot of liberty with what you can make, you can take the player anywhere on the planet. The amount of palpable effort and dedication to make a level so detailed while being this long is impressive, that and making each part look and play connected, while maintaining the same level of quality from start to finish, the sense of space and progression is executed nicely. My favorite sections are the ones towards the latter half, where we get to modern times and ultimately into the apocalypse, there’s a ton of detail in the backgrounds, each section could be it’s own level, a satisfying and fun level all around.
