CoastDream has garnered something of a cult following of late; his instantly recognisable brand of woozy 5am power house and DIY club tracks form a signature sound few can touch. We’re super excited to welcome him into the X-Kalay family. Title track ‘Soft Moon’ opens with those thundering CoastDream drums and a buzzing, infectious bassline before evolving into some seriously expansive blue sky house. Classic piano stabs, dreamy pads and woodwind-esque melodic interplay combine to carry us high into the South American sunshine. A2 continues in a similar vein but leads us down a distinctly more tropical path. Bongos, shakers and that massive tom underpin the rhythm whilst we are serenaded on the breeze floating from a distant desert island, ‘Oh La La…” On the flip, B1 takes us back to basics with a classic CoastDream club jam. More closely resembling the aesthetic of his earlier releases; ‘About You’ hits hard with punchy drums, that trademark kick, and a basement groove that just cannot be ignored. Closing things out ‘La Esperanza’ launches a real curve ball; splintered breaks and growling bass paying a bone shattering homage to the darkest of 90’s jungle :) Don’t take your eyes off this one! 👀 Want more music?
