This pattern is a marvelous shortcut from previous hand stitched cathedral windows patterns. No hand stitching, no complicated pressing. Just squares and pressed squares into triangles. The hardest part is the top stitching for the cathedral windows melons. This is currently a quilt along, and it is never to late to start something that is on your bucket list. I am thrilled with the ease of this pattern. You can make this with any size, but I think the smaller the squares, the more the interest. And you can use all those ugly fabrics you have no clue how to use. I recommend if you go scrappy that the larger prints are in the top viewed square and all the smaller prints, solids, or stripes go into the smaller squares that hide behind the cathedral windows.
