Full title reads: “Now Pathe Pictorial again presents Jack Hobbs the world-famous cricketer.“ Introductory intertitle reads: “Meet ’Jack’ England’s greatest cricketer. (Commentary by A.E. Lawton, former Derbyshire Cricket Captain.)“ C/U of Jack Hobbs then low angle shot of Jack in cricket gear preparing to hit a ball. Commentator describes Jack’s technique as we see various shots of Jack in action. As well as his batting technique we see how he catches and throws a ball. Some of Jack’s shots are seen in slow motion. The commentary is jokey and very posh - A.E. Lawton tells the cinema audience to “look out there in the back of the hall“ as Jack hits the ball towards the camera. Ends with a C/U of Jack smiling at the camera.
