Celebrated Italian tenor Giacomo Lauri-Volpi (1892-1979) sings the aria Un di all’azzurro spazio from the opera Andrea Chenier, composed by Umberto Giordano. I love Lauri-Volpi’s noble portrayal of Chenier in this clip; you can actually believe that Chenier is a poet, rather than a barbarian, as some other famous tenors seem to portray him.
