My Lady Careys Dompe

This piece of music is thought to be the earliest written music for Virginal and Harpsichord. This piece was written upon the death of Lady Carey’s husband who was a courtier in the court of Henry the 8th. Lady Carey was the sister of Anne Boleyn. The music is performed by Linda Rogers on an Italian Virginal, built by her husband, Donald Rogers.
