Inventors say they were inspired by feelings of isolation during China’s lockdowns during the Covid-19 pandemic. The device, named “Long Lost Touch” in English and now being mass produced by Beijing-based company Siweifushe, records users’ kiss data through motion sensors and then transmits the information to move a paired device at a remote location.
