// This one was a request I couldn’t let slip by. Joe commissioned me to recreate Paul’s strawberry fields outtake from Twickenham sessions in full length. We agreed that tape hiss, boomy mic sound, room ambience effect, faint guitar notes, impromptu melody improvisation, occasional flat notes and slight lo-fi quality were all crucial parts of the 1969 studio rehearsals sound. So I sat at my piano and started working on it right away. Impersonating a 1969 Paul singing John’s song in a sweet, raw, overall ’unplanned’ way even got me a bit emotional during recording. He also requested ’ The Backseat of my Car’ in the same fashion, which is one of my all-time favourite Paul to Joe Pistella for an amazing challenge ! Request YOUR favourite at !
