Terrifying Discovery: Damaged USS Connecticut Nuclear Submarine Caught on Camera!

The Army Upgrade channel. The U.S. Navy has released new images of its Seawolf-class nuclear-powered fast attack submarine USS Connecticut, which was severely damaged when it struck a seamount while on patrol in the South China Sea on October 2, 2021. The Connecticut is currently at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, undergoing a long series of repairs that will continue through 2026. In December 2021, the prized submarine returned to its home port in Washington State, completing a difficult journey across the Pacific Ocean. The submarine’s repair is complicated by the ongoing saga of much-needed upgrades to dry dock facilities at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Trident Refit Intermediate Maintenance Facility in Bangor, Washington. As for USS Connecticut, her condition remains relatively the same compared to when she arrived more than a year and a half ago.
