Holy solar maximum! A huge ejection of plasma occurred on the morning of June 7, 2011, and was captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics video here is seen in SDO’s AIA 304 channel. Luckily this eruption should not affect Earth as it was not aimed in our direction. Read more about this at
