The Phantoms Of Prypyat is the title track from Cycle Of Ruin’s upcoming E.P. slated for release this fall. Many live versions of the song have popped up on social media over the past few years, but this is the first official studio version of the song to be released. Inspired by the aftermath of the nuclear disaster near the city of Pripyat in the Spring of 1986. The first draft of the short story “The Phantoms Of Prypayt“ by lead vocalist Brant was created in 2003 and has gone through numerous revisions since then. However, the core of the plot and the backdrop have remained unchanged. This work is a fictional account and is in no way meant to disrespect or diminish those who suffered from the tragedy.
