In May 1945, in the little town of Blankenheim on the liberated territory of Germany, Soviet soldiers successfully carry out a two-day operation of rescuing German orphaned children from the attack of a group of wehrwolfs. Together with a woman working for a Berlin newspaper, they help organize a children’s home, to which a baby, abandoned by the refugees, is brought, and the Soviet soldiers name him Little Alexander. A thoughtful and sincere film by director Vladimir Fokin (“The Detective”), which strikes a chord on most intimate human feelings. В мае 1945 года на освобожденной территории Германии, в небольшом городке Бланкенгайме в течение двух дней советские солдаты успешно проводят операцию по спасению немецких детей-сирот от нападения группы вервольфовцев. Вместе с сотрудницей берлинской газеты они помогают в организации детского дома, куда приносят грудного ребенка, подброшенного беженцами и названного советскими солдатами Александром Маленьким. Очень глубокий и искренний фильм режиссера Владимира Фокина («Сыщик»), затрагивающий самые сокровенные человеческие чувства. Маленькие актеры играют удивительно органично, а помогают им в этом такие признанные мастера, как Борис Токарев («Два капитана»), Юрий Назаров («Маленькая Вера»), Михаил Кокшенов («Самая обаятельная и привлекательная») и Николай Скоробогатов («Формула любви»).
