Apollo 17: Full Footage from the Lunar Surface - EVA 3

The final day of Apollo 17, the final crewed mission of the Apollo Lunar Program, was not too different from other mission days. Gene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt again ventured out from the Lunar Module in the Lunar Rover, heading north to the North Massif, and again performed numerous scientific tasks. It was on this EVA that the heaviest single rock was recovered, weighing in at 17.7 lb (8 kg). By the end of the mission, many records were set or broken by the crew of Apollo 17 that it’s difficult to count. This is the third EVA as captured by the Apollo TV Camera Footage acquired from the NASA Apollo Lunar Surface Journal, with additional media sourced from @LunarModule5 and @Dutchstreammachine Chapters: 00:00 Intro 00:46 Traverse to Station 6 25:21 Geology Station 6 1:31:52 Geology Station 7 1:50:34 Geology Station 8 2:32:54 Geology Station 9 at Van Serg 3:24:09 EVA-3 Close-Out 3:57:16 Driving the Rover to the VIP Site 4:39:21 Return to Orbit 5:18:30 Launch from the Lunar Surface 5:21:20 Return to Earth EVA 5:22:27 Outtro #apollo #apollo17 #moon #spaceexploration #apolloflight #moonlanding
