Metallica Live Hellfest 2022 Full Set

English version after French and setlist with time codes at the bottom Le dimanche 26 juin 2022, après de nombreuses années d’attente, Metallica venait enfin jouer au Hellfest à Clisson. Pour adresser certains des commentaires réguliers reçus depuis la mise en ligne de cette vidéo : Qualité vidéo et audio : Filmé entièrement avec un gopro posée sur trépied, à bonne distance de la scène, cette vidéo devait servir pour fournir des plans d’ensemble pour un projet de montage multicam en cours. Cela implique un plan fixe, sans possibilité de zoomer dans l’image . Pour ce qui est du son, même s’il est loin d’être parfait, je l’ai trouvé assez bon pour partager un concert que beaucoup de monde, présent ou non, attendait. Pour info, le montage multicam sera fait par la même personne qui a fait celui du concert de Metallica au Stade de France 2019 : « Motivation » du public : Il est évident qu’un public de festival n’est jamais entièrement acquis à la cause des groupes qui jouent en tête d’affiche. Dans le cas présent, ça bougeait par endroits mais il faut aussi prendre en compte plusieurs éléments : certains étaient là depuis 10 jours et voulaient peut-être uniquement assister au spectacle tranquillement sans se jeter dans la fosse aux lions. D’autres avaient peut-être juste vu de la lumière et voulaient voir ce qu’il se passait. Enfin, il y avait BEAUCOUP, BEAUCOUP de monde donc objectivement, peu de place pour se défouler. Les téléphones omniprésents : ça malheureusement c’est un fléau, tout le monde veut pouvoir dire (et surtout montrer) qu’ils y étaient. Ce concert était clairement THE PLACE TO BE. Sinon, merci aux personnes qui m’ont remercié du partage, ça fait toujours plaisir. === === === On Sunday, June 26, 2022, after many years of waiting, Metallica finally came to play at Hellfest in Clisson. To address some of the regular comments received since the posting of this video : Video and audio quality: Filmed entirely with a gopro set on a tripod, at a good distance from the stage, this video was meant to provide overview shots for a multicam editing project in progress. This implies a fixed shot, without the possibility to zoom in the image. As for the sound, while far from perfect, I found it good enough to share a concert that many people, present or not, were expecting. “Motivation“ of the audience: It is obvious that a festival audience is never entirely committed to the cause of the bands playing as headliners. In this case, it was moving in places, but several elements must also be taken into account: some had been there for 10 days and perhaps only wanted to watch the show quietly without jumping into the lion’s den. Others may have just seen the light and wanted to see what was going on. Finally, there were a LOT, like A LOT of people so objectively, not much room to let off steam. The ubiquitous phones: that unfortunately is a plague, everyone wants to be able to say (and especially show) that they were there. This concert was clearly THE PLACE TO BE.
