POPPER Dance of the Elves | KOBEKINA and BALDEYROU

Dear Friends, I hope you’re well and before wishing you a wonderful summer and coming back in September full of energy and motivation, I wanted to offer you a fun video and collab with amazing rising star Anastasia Kobekina. We decided to perform and record Popper’s Elfentanz opus 39 (Dance of the Elves), one of the most virtuosic and exciting encore written for cello, but this time in a very personal arrangement for clarinets, glockenspiel and… TRIANGLE of course! David Popper was a famous Bohemian cellist and prolific composer (1843-1913), he made an incredible career as a virtuoso cellist, a chamber musician (he played for Brahms himself with the Budapest quartet), a cello and composition teacher, writing all type of repertoire and notably some instructional pieces as the incredible cello studies (I may record a few in the future 😇).
