Canción Triste (Rumba Flamenco Guitar Music) It always surprises me how, after I finish writing a song, it goes on to live a life of its own. Often that life is more interesting than my own. I wrote this song in 1997 for my album “Vertigo“. The original version had Ofra Harnoy’s beautiful cello playing on it. Over the years other guitarists have begun to cover the song, reinterpreting it in their own ways, bringing their own styles to it. For a composer like me there is no higher praise than that.
