But there’s a lot more to this Italian mark than meets the eye! Tiff Needell takes a look at the man and the brand, Gian Paolo Dallara, an engineer, who worked for the likes of Ferrari, and Maserati and Lamborghini. In 1972 set up his own company and actually made his very first little racing car, but he soon got distracted by manufacturers who wanted him to engineer and build their racing cars, and he created this Group VI Lancia LC1 sports car and went on to create Lancia’s LC2 Group C car.
