Into The Black marked the third release from Enchanter. The band had decided to use another studio, one more rock friendly and at least metal tolerant. Into The Black was recorded on a 16 track real to real system. All analog, no computers anywhere. Most of the drums and rhythm guitars tracks were recorded live during one session. Bass, lead guitars and vocals recorded over a few short sessions afterward. The demo was engineered by Bob Ash who was a highly respected guitar player on the local club circuit at the time. Bob had never recorded anything even close to the heavy metal genre before, but he did a decent job of capturing the raw energy that Enchanter had
