SS Rex: Mussolini’s Doomed Mega Liner

Mussolini’s ambition helped create the SS Rex and SS Conte di Savoia, two of the greatest Italian ocean liners ever built. The SS Rex was the first and only Italian liner to ever capture the Blue Ribband. Despite their popularity, neither liner would survive the chaos and destruction of World War II.
