How Ukraine Manifests the Modern Epic

When I was volunteering in Ukraine I had time to ponder on how people made sense of the entire tragedy. And I realized the underlying narrative that permeated everything that I was witnessing. The Modern Epic of the Freedom Fighters fighting the Evil Empire is the essence the way modern nations view themselves and their history.
