Dinu Lipatti, Franz Liszt, Gnomenreigen, La Leggierezza

Rare recording of two études de concert of Franz Liszt by Dinu Lipatti. Gnomereigen is in a set (1941) of Test Recordings Bucharest including Brahms’s Intermezzo op. 116 no 2, Bach, Chorale “Jesus bleibet meine Freude“, Scarlatti’s Sonata Longo 387, Chopin’s Etude op. 10 n. 5, Schumann’s Sympinic Etude op. 13 N. 9 and this Gnomenreigen. Second recording (London, 1947) is a copy of a studio BBC Recording. This copy of “La Leggierezza“ is not complete (missing the first two bars).
