Klaus & Hayley - Wild Things

∞ Please watch in 1080p [HD] headphones The idea for the vid came from a headcanon I wrote a few months ago about Klayley, and before I wanted to share it, I thought I should make a a vid about it. Klaus has been alive (more accurately undead) & cursed for a thousand years. When he first appeared on TVD, he was hell-bent on breaking the curse that prevented him from fulfilling his hybrid nature and siring more hybrids like him. He spent his entire human life feeling alone, only for that to be magnified by his vampire nature and the curse. He had longed for a thousand years to make a family of hybrids, a family that he could trust not to fail him. After he broke the curse, he wasn’t successful in doing that. Until Hayley. He wanted someone to be able to know what he feels like, someone to relate to. Klaus and Hayley related to each other from the start due to their similar dark past, yet when she became a hybrid, their connection got deeper. You see, this may have not been explored on the show, but deep down it’s always there, that part of Klaus that has longed for hybrids beside him, to be his family. A thousand years obsessing with hybrids didn’t just go away. When he realized what she’s become, there was something in the way he said it, the way he looked at her. He was somewhat fascinated even more by her. When Hayley took Hope away from Klaus, he reacted so ruthlessly not only because of Hope, but also because of her betrayal. She was his family (as he said on 2x12) and just like every other member of his family that betrays him, he punished her for it. Their development proofs Klayley can only rise from that. I chose to show on the vid the unseen and unspoken side of Klayley that hasn’t been explored on the show yet, if any. The key quote is the one I used twice: in the beginning to reveal that side which I showed throughout the vid, and in the end, to show that quote in a different light. Klaus & Hayley are the only existing hybrids, and that makes them something. Not just parents, partners or friends. They are each other’s pack. As I said, thousand years of obsessing with hybrids didn’t just vanish.
