MY STEAMPUNK MP40 TOY: operation, disassembly, parts/materials

Wanted to share. One of my first scholarly studies of gun mechanics and tests and honing of my skills: Easy use of plumbing supplies- upper receiver is a brass threaded 1/2 x 6” plumbing nipple and the lower - my beloved 3/4” square tubing. IF YOU NOTICED IT BECAME MY THING. The only parts I DID NOT MAKE- were the HK270 10 rounds mag ( I use it for everything) and the actual real sear /disconnect assembly from Mauser 105( a later clone of my Voere2005). The trigger an online store didn,t have- so I made my own. But being soft it possibly will wear out quickly. My later toy gun building experiments are more graceful, but I love this one, to me it,s not bad looking… IT DOES EVERYTHING A SELECT FIRE SMG WOULD, EXCEPT FIRE!!! The universal solid ‘barrel’ also travels from a project to project…just for photo sessions … So does the poor magazine. Thanks for watching. Then next episode is about my first build- STEAMPUNK BORCHARDT C93
