Harvey Andrews - England My England (1970)

Life has some strange coincindences. Recently downloaded a great folk/psych comp album of rarities. Decided to make a youtube vid of a fave track and the song reminded me of the Industrial Revolution and how it scarred the face of Britain and later the world, no where more so than up the road in Birmingham, as human development took up green space. Found the old pics of 50s/60s Brum online, made the vid then researched the artist and turns out he was from Brum and his songs were actually about everything I’ve just described and had imagined. The images are of Birmingham 1950s and 60s (let me know if you’re the photographer and will credit you), the artist.. Harvey Andrews.
