Ascyth - Life of a prince EP // Visualiser by Knnz

Coming out of a winter hiatus, Ascyth continues to reinvent his eclectic sound with this first longer standalone release - Life of a Prince EP. With massive, panoramic ambiental soundscapes reminiscing about the artifacts of western culture, Ascyth created a full-fledged “experimental-pop” composition, completely entangling with a more explorative approach to production, compared to his flirting with the obscure in his previous releases. Composed during his night hotel receptionist shifts, resorting to recording vocals on earpods, this project was developed alongside Neža Knez’s LivinLaVidaLoca exhibition in Dobra Vaga (Ljubljana), meant to provide an audio element to the experience. The show adopted the standpoint of a bio-robotic insect, viewing the world from a non-anthropocentric standpoint, archiving the data collected about our civilization in the form of a speculative digital museum of natural science and engineering.
