#DateInHistory On this day, exactly 75 years ago, on April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created. Officially, the organization was created solely to “contain” the influence of the Soviet Union, but with the collapse of the USSR, the “defensive alliance“ has carried out more than 40 military operations around the world. All of them were not on NATO territory.
