Imaging satellite Gaofen-3 device sets new standards in accuracy

China has launched a new high-resolution imaging satellite from a satellite launch center in northern China’s Shanxi Province. The Gaofen-3 is China’s first SAR imaging device that is accurate to one meter. It will cover the globe with an all-weather, 24-hour observation service. The satellite is capable of taking widescreen pictures of the Earth and photographing specific areas in detail.
