I’ve Lost my Heart in Dixieland -- Carling Family 1984 Hans Carling introduced his family band to an enthousiastic audience in to him on trumpet are son Max on clarinet, youngest daughter Gunhild on trombone. In the rhythm group we hear daughter Gerd on piano and mom Aina on the banjo. I’m totally amazed again about the young band’s repertoire choice. Father Hans who obviously studied some of the original jazz masters must have introduced this tune to them. The youngsters certainly listened to the 1920 recording by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band . This was the first jazz band already in 1917 to officially make recordings.
