Bird’s Eye Maple and Bolivian Rosewood Chess Board
In this video I made a face grain chess board with 2.5“ squares made from Bird’s Eye Maple and Bolivian Rosewood (Morado). It has a 3“ walnut frame with a 1/8“ brass border around the playing field and curly maple edge banding around the perimeter of the frame. Initials for Ray and his grandson Max are engraved with a CNC router and then gilded.
