It’s an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement in the song’s original key. “Ghostbusters“ was written and recorded by Ray Parker Jr. as the theme song for the 1984 film of the same name. Starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis, the supernatural comedy film about a trio of parascientists and their ghost-catching business in New York became a huge success, a cultural phenomenon, and a global franchise spanning everything from comics and TV series to Halloween costumes and theme parks. The Ghostbusters Theme Song became a number-1-hit in the US and was nominated for an Academy Award. Built around a groovy bass line, “Ghostbusters“ is an incredibly catchy track, and an iconic piece of film music history. Although the song keeps coming back to its B major root, the synth chords include a lot of back-and-fourth from D to D#, constantly moving the song’s key between B major and B minor. For clarity and better readability, this arrangement is therefore notated in the nominal key of E major, so a lot of additional symbols (♯ and ♮) can be avoided. The “Ghostbusters“ bass pattern is a challenge to play on the piano, but if you master it, it will make for an amazing piano cover! “If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!“ 0:00 Intro 0:29 Verse 1 0:45 Chorus 1:10 Verse 2 1:26 Chorus 1:59 Bridge 2:23 Chorus 2:40 Outro ####################### You can find many of my sheet music arrangements on my publisher page: I arrange all kinds of music for piano: classical, oldies, pop, movie soundtracks, TV theme songs, jazz, and everything in between! ####################### MY SETUP: Keyboard: I am playing on a Studiologic SL88 Studio Audio: The sound is created with Pianoteq, I use Cubase for audio editing Camera: iPhone 12 Visual effects: SeeMusic Video editing: DaVinci Resolve
