Can’t you hear the future weeping? Our love must save the world #PaintTheLand Launch performance

Mirabella Okri and Capital Children’s Choir, accompanied by Damon Albarn, delivered a reflective performance at Writers Rebel’s Paint the Land launch . #PaintTheLand was launched with the help of Booker prize-winning writer Ben Okri and artist-activists Ackroyd & Harvey. Okri’s message to world governments, “Can’t you hear the future weeping? Our love must save the world“ was grown on an 16x4m carpet of living grass and floated on the Thames at Bankside Beach . In the lead up to COP-26, Writers Rebel is collaborating with leading artists and writers to create landscape graffitos that urge world leaders to ACT NOW in the face of climate catastrophe. We are encouraging groups across the world to do the same. You can find information on how to paint the land here - Photo Kristian Buus, camera Nathaniel Walters and edit by Tom Canning
