Originally released on Elton John’s debut album in 1969, “Skyline Pigeon” was re-recorded three years later – this time with Elton playing piano instead of harpsichord. This new 1972 version would become a big hit and an Elton signature song in Brazil. Elton has described the track as one of the first ““great““ songs that he and Bernie Taupin wrote together.
