US supports creation of 2 seats in UNSC for Africa, but without veto power

Washington’s proposal to grant Africa two permanent seats on the UN Security Council - but without any veto power - drew criticism from South African leader Ramaphosa. He argued that international structures are preventing the continent from becoming an equal partner. We discussed this proposal with a panel of guests.
