Ukraine’s elite 3rd Assault Brigade arrive in Avdiivka to defend crucial coke plant

Ukraine has rushed badly-needed reinforcements to Avdiivka to stop a Russian breakthrough. Elite 3rd Assault Brigade troops were filmed attacking Putin’s men near a crucial coke plant which is located along a supply route leading north out of the city. Video shows soldiers charging into battle using an American-made MRAP assault vehicle, dodging explosions while opening fire with a .50 calibre machine-gun. Meanwhile more footage taken from behind Russian lines showed bombs hitting the plant and Ukrainian troops sheltering inside the badly-damaged complex, which has been under heavy attack for months as Putin’s generals try to take the city. The battle for Avdiivka is now at a key stage - if Russia can take the plant then it has a good chance of surrounding Ukrainian forces in the town and seizing it.
