How to use Datacolor Spyder X Pro to perfectly calibrate your monitor color (secret settings!)

Today I’ll be showing how to use the Datacolor Spyder X Pro to perfectly your monitor’s color (plus secret settings that other creators don’t include!). First, go to: and download the software with your Spyder X Pro or Spyder X Elite unplugged. Look through your monitor’s OSD to check for RGB sliders. If there are, go to Files, Preferences, Advanced Settings in the Spyder X software after installing and enable RGB Sliders. Now, plug in your Spyder X. Reset monitor settings to default within the OSD, and leave the display on for 30 minutes if you haven’t already. Run through the calibration until you get to Backlight Type. Here, go to and search for your monitor to find its backlight type. Note that W-LED means white LED, which just means Standard LED in the software. NOT Wide LED. Now, continue to run through the calibration, which is detailed in the video. Once you’re done, click Finish and the calibration will automatically be applied, saved, and set to default. You may now compare your display’s old uncalibrated state to the new calibrated state. Lastly, you can check how much of the four common color gamuts (sRGB, Adobe RGB, etc.) your monitor covers. The Spyder X is compatible with Windows PCs, laptops, and macOS devices as well. The default directory that the .icm or .icc profiles are saved to is: C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color on Windows 11/Windows 10 You can consider the Spyder X a way to upgrade an infinite amount of monitors. Accurate colors is a game changer. While I’d definitely recommend the product to photographers, videographers, editors, etc., I still think it’s great for general use and gaming, especially if you have multiple monitors and want the experience to be as seamless as possible.
