How strong is a baboon? Bobos shows us the ropes!

When you watch the snippets, you will see a display of the intense strength and perseverance of a baboon, in this case Bobo’s, as he insists on digging out an embedded stone/rock that he wants to tip over to see what delicious morsels there are TO EAT! On this walk, he sat digging away determinedly, until he was able to move the rock and found a feast of UITNJIES, which he thoroughly enjoyed! The baboons’ natural response to danger is so instinctive and, coupled with their incredibly sharp eyesight, they are generally able to bark out alert-calls, warning about potential dangers and giving the troop time to escape. This bunch got such a fright from the blue cranes who came flying over the koppie ( hill) and surprised them! Luckily, the birds posed no risk to them. Water is another vital aspect of survival for baboons (water is life for all living creatures). After the rains, a
