New England sees smoke from Canadian wildfires more than 3,000 miles away

Our sky has been a little hazy or milky at times this week, creating vivid sunrises and sunsets. The cause? Massive fires, burning nearly 1 million acres of land in western Canada in the last two weeks. The wildfires, burning in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, are more than 2,000 miles away from New England, as the crow flies.
