Fake Motorcycle Helmets crash tested! Will they pass the real ECE/DOT tests? |

Have you ever considered buying a motorcycle helmet from a website like , eBay or Aliexpress? Neither have we. We wouldn’t ever dream of riding around with a dodgy helmet from one these websites, but we were very curious as to how well the helmets would perform in a crash test. For this reason we decided to ‘invest’ in some cheap motorcycle helmets from Wish/Alibaba and made an appointment at Arai’s testing facility in the Netherlands to test the helmets according to the official ECE drop test and the DOT penetration test. Apart from the shocking crash test results there are a couple of other dodgy features that we found on the helmets. In this video we discuss the aspects of the real and fake Arai/AGV helmets. The counterfeit skidlids took two months to arrive and that’s not all.. We ordered 5 different helmets in total and ended up receiving only 2 of them.
