This is a post of something that has been on this channel since 2019, but now using our latest restoration techniques. Our regular subscribers know that the objective here is raise the level of restoration of vintage recordings to new levels of quality.
The next statement may seem controversial to some, but we believe that there may be high fidelity lurking in most of those old recordings dating back to the 1920s. We just have to learn how to dig it out. Our last few posts from that era are an effort to achieve this.
This recording was one of the “Oh, wow!“ moments when it was first issued on 78s. Listeners were bedazzled by the sound of this in 1929. It seemed only right that we should take another look at it with our newest restoration methods for early electrical recordings.
