Science Unravels the Length of a Day, Month, and Year, But Fails for the 7-Day Week

Science calculates the length of a day, month, and year. But about the 7-day week science is silent. Astronomy discovered a day, one revolution of Earth. A month, one revolution of the moon around the Earth. A year, one revolution of Earth around the Sun. But there is no astronomical calculation for the 7-day week. So, what’s its origin? Historically, 6th century BC, Babylonians associated each day with the seven classical planets visible to the naked eye: the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn. However, the Bible antidates that by 3400 years in Genesis, written about 1400 BC, with the 7 days of Creation. The safekeeping of the Hebrew Scriptures, including the Sabbath and 7-day week, was entrusted to the Jews (Romans 3:2).
